great pictures great book
great photographic book featuring the us railroad scene in the last 30 years perhaps a little heavy on the roads near to where the author lives(B&P) but still giving good coverage to the whole country, general books not on just one railroad like this are few and far between, well worth it

a must must read
this series (which this is number 3) is absolutely great written by an author who is an expert in history, the books are full of great detail. the story is really compelling and has a good blend of action politics and personal life. plus i really like the way he makes the main character whisper a plan so we the reader dont know it and then blam! couldn't have guessed it. really great writing . buy the whole series now you wont regret it.
