Jewelry tools for the artist on a budget.
These stone setting tools are the most affordable sets I’ve seen. The cases (round plastic base keeps the bits upright and stores the small graver-like handle) are utilitarian [mine arrived broken in shipping, but I’m not buying tools for their cases, and besides, a little clear tape makes everything better.] but functional. The tools themselves are pretty clearly ground by hand, as they vary in length in no discernible pattern, and they’ve just got that “made in someone’s basement” sort of look and feel, but as I make things in my basement myself, I don’t look down my nose at them. The shipping takes a bit of time as they’re coming from mainland China, so be prepared to wait a couple weeks (the tracking is nice, you can know where the tools are on the other side of the world) and, I’m not sure if you have the option of requesting a small cardboard box as a container for shipping, but if you buy these, see if that’s a possibility.. only to prevent the postal services of the world from trying to crush the plastic base and dome, in which the tools live, to small pieces.
There you go. Highly affordable, hand ground, not quite uniform lengths, shipping takes a while and they’ll try and break your toys in transit, but they are survivors! Get a couple sets at this price 👍🏼

Dapping/doming set review
This set is of good quality. I have to say I was not expecting it to be quite so nice for the price. There are some ridges and tooling marks in the set, but as I am getting back into jewelry making, this is a fine starting point which didn't cost me $1,000. More or less, if you're tired of trying to use your beat up old wooden set, just buy these and be prepared to do some additional finishing work. They are functional and a great starting set.

This book, overall, is lovely! Any fan of the movie Beetlejuice in particular or of the work of Tim Burton in general should (would) be thrilled to own a copy! The book arrived on okay, as expected, and unfortunately had been a dropped onto something which put a significant dent in the bottom of the facing board. I am sorry to have to complain about the book not having enough protection as it was shipped solely in a USPS bag. I am glad to have the book & will work w/seller again.
