Engineering faux pas
Normally when the dimensions are changed on a mechanical part, the p/n is changed to reflect the difference. Apparently, Nibco doesn't follow that convention. All dimensions of the new part are different than my old handle, but it's the same part number. Had to remove the "lock" bracket, cut off the end that fits to my old valve, and use the large hole to bolt the new handle end to the existing arm where it rusted through. Nibco's engineering staff should be ashamed! Both are p/n MSS SP-110

Tray is different size from the open-top version
Comparing the slide-out tray to their open-top version, it is slightly narrower and a bit longer on the covered version. Will the standard pads fit without spillage? Can I reuse the open-top version's tray with the covered version? Why the dimensional difference?

Moan not as good as historically
The body was of good quality materials and finish, but the internal construction was cheap and not designed to be easily rebuilt when the rubber seal wears out. Sprays water out the faucet when in shower position.
