Great Thermostat - Ideal For Albion Ultrasteel Cylinder
I had no hot water over christmas, I assumed it was the honeywell motorised valve that had gone, so I replaced this and still no cure. The symptom was that my heating worked but each time the timeclock (or i pressed boost for hot water) the boiler shut off.
I ordered this thermostat as a replacement for the original fitted to my albion ultrasteel unvented cylinder, it simply clipped on and tightened into place with two screws and a three wires (it goes into a sealed tube on the cylinder so no risk of water escape). As soon as it was fitted, I pressed advance for hot water and my problem was solved and I have had great hot water since.
I would rate this as a great piece of kit, you can alter the temperature of the water inside your tank on the front of the thermostat, I keep the temperature high to avoid risk of legionella. A great buy.
