We have used these kind of power supplies in various machines at work for years. These are electrically fairly quiet, and seem to function well as a workhorse where you need to power DC equipment in an enclosure where space is at a premium. They snap onto standard DIN rails and are available with a wide enough input voltage range that whether it's 110 or 240, it's essentially plug and play.

These little power supplies are designed for a rugged industrial environment. They have a great physical size to power output ratio, and make a nice uncluttered bench power supply for troubleshooting circuit boards or powering freshly breadboarded designs. The DIN rail mounting and being fully enclosed, eliminates the hazard of accidental contact with live 120v or switcher signals with errant tools or fingers.

These are excellent for high current bus...
These are excellent for high current bus bars when you need chemical and galvanic compatibility with copper. Used some of these to add an aftermarket grounding copper bus bar to a piece of farm equipment, both to anchor to the frame and secure a heavy cable direct to the battery.
