Love my stubbies
Nice set of USA made stub length drills in a US made metal index. Stub length drills are great for making pilot holes, as they flex less. They are also nice on the mill when you don't want to crank the table down to clear a jobber length drill.

The USA standard for inspection tools
Starrett sets the standard for USA built indicators, and this extended travel unit was just what I was looking for to provide quick verification of critical dimensions. I use it for reverse engineering parts of obsolete equipment to help make cost effective replacements. A great tool at a great price.

Nice tool at a great price
Nice fit in my A size Aloris style tool holders, and provides a reasonably rigid setup for the ID threading work I do on my 10" lathe.
