1 von 1 finden das hilfreich After reading Bill Gammage's book 'The Greatest Estate on Earth', I was glad to find a similar book with a bit more of an indigenous feel to it, even though most of the references are the same. Easy to read, well presented text. I am encouraged to further research the misrepresented history of our indigenous brothers and sisters with whom we share this ancient continent. But, more specifically, to use and develop more indigenous food sources and storage methods.

Wisdom from the timeless land. Lessons for those lost in modernity.
Relating Aboriginal Dreamtime explanations for 'the way thing are' to universal archetypal human conditions is enlightening.The power of belonging; to earth, natural landscapes, family, clan, tribe and humanity is expressed over and over in these stories. These stories,even though written, still evoke images of them being danced, narrated at a campfire or told while walking the Songlines of this country.
Parker's affinity with her indigenous women friends is clear. And Lambert's commentaries are made with great insight into how these stories relate to the ancient pantheisms of other cultures.
