Could have gone more in depth (I assume) with local businesses. Sathre Jewelers, Red Devil Pizza, Charcoal Pit, Plaza Aquarium, Allen Coin Co. (he was murdered, perhaps family did not wish that to be published) and American River Hospital all no longer exist.
Does contain interesting info on the Deterding family, the library, Gibbons Dairy, the Pefley house and their vinyard, and Effie Yeaw. Glad they still have the 4th of July parade on Fair Oaks Blvd.
