Very beautiful film
This is an extremely beautiful film. It mixes Christmas night whimsy with magical, dangerous, fantasy. The actors are all excellent, with Elle Fanning outstanding. The sets are incredible, and really well realised. The underlying plot is that tale of adventure everyone dreams of at Christmas, with the need to come back safely in the end. One of the best films I have seen in a long time

Brilliant Book
Utterly brilliant book, covering all theatres that Russia operated in, and the history of the ships involved. In general history, the Russian sail navy pops in and out of books, without any picture of a coherent whole. This book sets that right
