The DVD Release Of The Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries - Less Than Acceptable Video Quality
I became a fan of the series while it was being provided from an InterNet streaming service (which recently dropped it).
One of the series' most intriguing features is its excellent video - the lush, saturated, colors and attention to detail.
The video quality of the series, as released on DVD, is inferior to that which was previously available from the streaming service.

Protect Your Larger Lenses With a Screw-In, Metal, Lens Cap
A lens that uses a 72mm filter usually is going to have a fairly large, and probably somewhat heavy, body. So when you handle a lens of that size you're going to have a tendency to be keeping a careful grasp on it so it doesn't fall.
When I handle a lens of that size I am always concious that it also has a large front element, and I feel a concern that I might accidentially touch the glass. With smaller lenses I don't have the sense that I might touch and break the front glass but with a heavier lens that is a worry.
With a screw-in, metal, front lens cap there is no concern about damaging the lens, either as you handle it or when putting it in or taking it out of its storage location. Other than it takes some time to screw or un-screw a metal lens cap (grasping the edge to turn them), as compared to a snap-on cap, they are a much better way to protect larger lenses from damage.

Lafayette HE-30 Receiver Instruction Manual (printed and in a plastic binder)
The pages are held in a nice 'lay-flat' binder with good quality front and rear plastic covers.
The only weakness (and I don't believe it's critical) is that the quality of the photograph, of the front of the receiver, isn't particularly clear but it's good enough to easily read the controls.
The schematic and alignment directions are crisp and easy to read.
This manual is available electronically off-the-Web but if you are more comfortable with a printed copy (I believe this to be the case when working on equipment) then this is a convenient way to go.
