Very interesting, history done right
An excellent addition to the several Second World War books of the last few years, that deal in truth and not revisionist history.

Us this if you can't get a Quadrajet to work good.
A Quadrajet is better when it is honed in just right, but if not, it can be a forever task to get it right. So this Holly as the best alternative (much better in my experience than that other major brand..). Easy to get this Holley working right out of the box. Doesn't have as fine mixture management as QJet throughout all ranges, but does get the job done reliably (KISS). Front left mounting nut is near impossible to get a wrench on. On a '67 Firebird 400, linkage is not right, going to have to drill a hole to connect throttle linkage at a lesser radius since using the outer hole doesn't actuate throttle enough to even open the secondaries. I don't see any reason to pay up for a new one, these are as good as new (I see no indication that the one I got had seen any use at all).
