Plactic or good old metal ???
I have used Auto Meter gauges for over 60 years and have never had a failure !
The only thing I am not happy about, satisfied with or impressed by is the plastic housing and retaining bracket ! SO CHEAP !!!
I do a lot of "Off Road" things, drag racing and for me, plastic things just don't hold up to these conditions.
Product quality, material and reliability are my number one priority and this plastic stuff does not impress me at all. If this is Auto Meter's future style, I will search the swap-meets, internet and beyond for a good old used unit instead of buying this plastic stuff.

Work great, drilled a couple holes in the floor and bolted them in.
