Very Good Player
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich This DVD Player has a pretty sharp picture on its 7" widescreen lcd. I like how it is widescreen for widescreen dvds and it will stretch full screen dvds to fit the screen and you wont even notice the stretch. I used to use it all the time when travelling and it always did the trick. The battery life was usually around 2 hours so if the movie was much longer than that you had to plug it in, but it came with a car adapter so it worked out. It is kind of an older model now but it still works fine, for a good price you definately can't go wrong.

A Dream, simply best netbook!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I did a lot of research and thought long and hard before purchasing a netbook. I am a student and was tiring of lugging around a big laptop with a short battery life. After careful reviews, I decided to purchase this Toshiba NB205-210 netbook. I upgraded the RAM to 2GB for the added performance which was worth it.
The battery life is excellent, I can get about 7.5 - 9 hours depending on what I am doing. After upgrading the memory, the performance is perfect for e-mail, basic web surfing, and Microsoft Office. However, I would never dream of trying to use it for gaming, it simply wouldn't suffice.
It is (or was) one of the more expensive netbooks, brand new I paid about $300 + I upgraded the memory and bought a case bringing the overall price to about $375 after accessories. If you are on the go a lot and want a hassle free netbook with excellent battery life then this is for you. The cheapest netbooks only have a battery life of about 3-4 hours, this is completely pointless and defeats the purpose in my opinion.
PROS: Battery life, weight, performance for basic functions, keyboard 92% scale.
CONS: Speakers not very good (as expected), sometimes its hard not to touch touch-pad when typing which will make you start typing in random places. Typing on this takes getting used to. The power light can get annoying sometimes as well, but after about a day you learn to ignore it.
Overall Conclusion: Excellent netbook. Although right now tablets are probably going to kill the netbook market, if you are still looking for a netbook and can pick up one of these fairly cheap its your best bet.

Your new best friend in Calc class
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich I started my calc class with a TI-83 Plus that I used for all my other math classes. It was fine in the beginning but I felt I was wasting a lot of time doing "busy" work. This TI-89 does all the busy work for me! I now have more time to work on the actual problem that other stuff such as finding the derivatives and solving equations. This is a great handy tool to check over your work to make sure you have not made any careless errors. I have never used the Titanium version but see no downfall to using the original version. Here are some pros and cons that I feel go with this calculator.
Pros: Derivatives, Solving Equations, Low Battery Meter.
Cons: Price (if purchased new), Graphs can be a little hard to view.
My overall opinion: If you are planning on taking a Calculus course try to pick up one of these used and become familiar with it because it will seem very foreign at first. And don't replace this with knowledge, you still need to know the basics in your head in order to succeed in the class!
