This watch is an homage to the Omega SeaMaster 300 Spectre. Unlike the Omega, you can actually wear this one without worrying about it constantly.
I purchased this watch as a school graduation present for myself, and am so proud to have it on my wrist. I’m always getting compliments when I’m out and about.
This watch has some serious wrist presence without being obnoxious - it’s very classy and casual at the same time. The watch has some weight to it without being too heavy. The quality is palpable. It’s really solid, and you’ll feel it. I’d say that the quality is on-par with a 1980s Seiko… which if you don’t know is pretty darned good quality. It does, indeed, have an actual sapphire crystal, and the bezel is ceramic.
The watch comes with a very short and cheap Spectre-style NATO strap that you’ll definitely want to swap out asap. In fact, order yourself a nice nylon or seatbelt nylon NATO whilst you are waiting for your watch to arrive from Hong Kong, you’ll be thankful when your watch arrives that you bought a nicer strap than what comes with it.
Lug-width (strap width) is 20mm. The dial is 41mm.
The movement is, of course, the venerable Miyota calibre 8215. Something that you’ll need to be aware of is the “Miyota stutter.” What that means is the Miyota calibre 8215 has an indirect sweep seconds design, which is very common in vintage Swiss watches, even the very high end ones. Because of this, you’ll sometimes notice that the seconds hand appears to stop (or “stutter”) for a second or two when the watch is shaken violently or held at a certain angle. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the watch, and on the inside the movement will be ticking away without missing a beat. It all has to do with the indirect seconds hand drive-train. In a way, this makes the watch more authentic to vintage watch design than the modern ETA powered Omega version of this watch.

The Tecsun PL-310ET is a True Wonder
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The Tecsun PL-310ET is an amazing radio in nearly every way. SW, MW (broadcast-band), and FM reception are excellent, especially for a radio in its size and price range. Frequency drift is not an issue, due to full phase-locked loop (PLL) synthesized tuning. The PL-310ET has features normally only found on much larger, and expensive, radios. The Tecsun, also, features something called 'Easy Tune' (ETM), which scans the band for any and all stations listenable, and then stores those stations in a temporary memory for the listener to scroll through. The ETM feature is invaluable for searching the vast SW frequency bands. Another amazing thing about the PL-310ET is its long battery life. Normally, a radio this small with PLL tuning will go through batteries quite quickly, but not this radio. With a full charge via mini-USB (not micro-USB) cable on its three NiMh rechargeable 'AA' batteries (not included), it will get well over 24hrs of listening time in AM mode. Its outer case construction is surprisingly good. It has a nice fit and finish, and feels heavy for a radio of its size, which is a good thing.
The PL-310ET has a lot of features, and to get the most out of it one must take the time to read the supplied instructions. Within a day, a user can become an expert on operating this unit. The PL-310ET is more than enough to be a primary radio for a beginner. If it had a beat frequency oscillator (BFO), or SSB mode, (which it doesn't) it would be a perfect stand-alone for any level of user on a budget. It is worth noting that the speaker is a bit tinny, but that is to be expected with such a small radio packed with so many features. One can find many more details about this radio, than mentioned above, online. Tecsun never promised that the PL-310ET would give the listener everything he/she could ever ask for in a radio, but it sure comes close to doing just that. In all, one can't go wrong with this radio. It's worth every penny and then some.
