Hysterical, fast moving. Definately a must have movie.
The ultimate battle of one person vs an organization of many. Miles Kendig (Walter Matthau) is targeted for termination by the CIA. Miles, using his years of knowlege as a field agent, continually frustrates the executives of the CIA and their continual attempt to remove him from the realm of the living.
Action moves quickly from city to country, with Miles alway at least one step ahead of the CIA assasinations. Great scenery as Miles is "chased" from one country to another. But who is really chasing who.
Glenda Jackson is perfectly cast as the quiet suporting companion.
Definately a David vs the Goliths movie.
A rare movie, that you could not make any better.

A true journey into the Victorian Age
Anne Perry is probably the greatest Victorian mystery writer. The complexity of her stories are on a par with the Sherlock Holmes mysteries. If you want to understand why women are still struggling for equal rights in America, read her novels and you will understand where the current prejudices came from. Victorian England.
Her insight into the Victorian period is so accurate, that if you stop and research her facts and descriptions, that have been obscure and antiquated for almost a hundred years, you will stop and wonder if she actually lived during that time. Or,, she actually discovered H.G. Wells' time machine and traveled back.
One hundred years from now, her novels will be used by cold case detectives to help solve crimes, when there are no forensics, and the trail has gone cold.

What you see, may not be what it is.
This is another Charlotte and Thomas Pitt murder novel, set in Victorian times. Like all Anne Perry stories in this series, it is an insight into the struggles, obstacles and limitations placed on women during the time. Thomas Pitt and Charlotte are relentless in their persuit of justice, often for those who society has little or no concern for. Religious and Political pressures are at work to close the case, regardless of the proven quilt of the supposed? Clashes between Darwinism and the Church are played out on all levels of society.
The twist at the end shows what a creative mind Anne Perry has, and why we should not jump to conclusions, but wait for the often long and painfully slow train of justice to "get it right." Though accurately set in Victorian times, the Charlotte and Thomas & Hester and William Monk novels always seem to mirror into struggles that we are currently facing.
