Very good value. Great picture quality but is flawed by operational oddities and no Amazon app.
This is a very good effort from Toshiba. The picture quality is stunning for the price, the sound is above average and the connectivity is excellent.
Good features are the ability to select the audio output on the minjack from headphone to line output for your hifi, full recording facilities via usb flash, 3 hdmi inputs, digital out and various other useful connections.
Now the bad points. It's so flimsy it will almost blow away, really flimsy. It has some annoying oddities too. For instance, when you're on youtube the aspect ratio is locked out so some videos are displayed like a postage stamp! Weird. I have tried to get round it but you can't.
Also a lack of Amazon Prime app is daft and unavailable to add. Another weirdness is the audio output from the scart mutes the sound on all smart apps!
For the money though it's a good TV, without the oddities it would be a great one.

Superb phono stage at a bargain price. Amazing detail and soundstage. Nothing better at the price.
I bought my Domino secondhand. This is a fantastic phono stage for the money. It's very nicely made and very smart looking. What I like is the amount of adjustable gain that is available. I get so fed up with low gain phono stages!
Coupled to my vm540ml cartridge it sounds absolutely excellent. It has excellent detail retrieval, solid bass and a wide open soundstage. It punches way above it's weight and leaves the Cambridge Audio 540p and my Project ds2 for dead. Hard to believe for this money, but good attention to detail always pays off.
My only gripe is that the input capacitance is fixed at 180pf. I would like to have that switchable or even off, other than that it's a bargain. It is also very low noise and having a switchable gain up to 67db for MC cartridges, that is a blessing.
A good, honest well priced and well made product, which in the hifi world of snake oil, is very welcome. Recommended without hesitation. I shall but another one for my second turntable.

Sturdy machines. Buy with caution due to age. Great performance when correctly serviced.
The Tandberg TCD series of machines were very popular in their day and to an extent, have lasted well. They are not without their nightmares though and are getting way past their prime. Replacement parts are difficult to find, most are pretty bog standard in the circuit, but the heads are a unique fitting and unavailable so re-lapping is the only option. Most need a complete re-cap by now and if some unqualified engineer or owner has skewed the pinch roller or head mountings ( all adjustable in every plane) to try and stop it chewing tapes then getting it back without a jig is near impossible. I have never had one to service that hadn't been messed with!
Performance wise the machines are very good when serviced and calibrated but don't expect wonders from a 40 year old unit that has never been cared for.
Buy with caution and expect to pay for a proper service. Wear in the capstan bearings caused by a constantly running motor means it's a bin job unless you have the skills to replace them.
