YEEHAW!! "Dukes" 1974 Dodge Monaco police car by Ertl is a BIG HIT in 1:18
My oldest son is a BIG "Dukes of Hazzard" fan.He grew up watching the original shows and now has all of the TV DVDs. He enjoys collecting (and playing with...being a big kid like most of us)the 1:18 scale diecast cars. On different occasions, he was fortunate to personally meet John Schneider (Beau Duke) and James Best (Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane). While browsing in a local flea market, we saw a car (Roscoe's police cruiser)that really caught my son's attention. Of course, it was too expensive. So, upon my son's urging, I checked out Ebay. Right there it was!! And not only the same car, but two more "Duke's cars that we bid on, and ultimately won!! Compared to the flea market prices, we really got a good buy.

Looks real enough to drive...if it was full size!
This model is a really nice and durable replica of the car my father drove when he proposed to my mother, back in 1946. It's a bank, too!

The title, in naming all the diverse characters, draws you right into the book.
It is very good reading and has a great message for all ages.
