Metal too thin

The metal on this lock is too thin. A crowbar or screwdriver could easily defeat it. Also, if you have a smaller motor like less than 10 hp, the gap is almost too large for the wing nuts. I could just about pull it off with just my hands. I used a hammer to pound the gap smaller so it could provide some protection. The lock has too much play in the sense that a crook could just pull it up and cut it with a bolt cutter. I glued a spacer on the top of the lock to prevent this.
