A great tribute to a 1960s beat group who could have been luckier
bern elliott and his boys only managed at best what were modest chart ratings at the time, but were well able to stand comparison with contemporaries eg dc5, brian poole and the mersey-manchester bands of the time.the production is rather flat,but this tends to be typical of decca reords at the time.maybe they would have done better with another record company.their early split did not help even though it did lead to a new and inspiring version of the pretty things.nevertheless it does capture the optimism, enthusiasm and innocence of the 1960s beat boom.an essential purchase for any enthusiast of the music of that era.

good attempt at a difficult subject
well done. as a child i used to dream of building up a collection of model sharks and this is a most welcome addition to my miniature museum.colouration possibly is a bit flat and the pectoral fins are not as well defined as they could be, and possibly a bit too short, given that the scientific name for the fish translates as long in the hand. otherwise a great job.i suggest that the shade of the skin should have been a tad darker, see the oceanic whitetip model in safari toob pelagic fish.

ligh on detail great on adapatbility
well, as with all the armies in plastic toys its the same figures moulded in the relevant colours for the respective armies the are meant to represent (ie red for the british recoats blue for the american continentals etc).some might call this lazy, but given that by a certain stage in the war, both armies got to look pretty similar in silhouette, this is perfectly acceptable.the vague detail of the figures gives an ideal opportunity for painting in relevant details for what you intend to depict.fair enough, they are not meant to stand close inspection, but as i am a rather lazy painter, then as long as they give the general impressionof what they are supposed to be, then thats fine by me.yes very much a welcome addition to my collection.well done.
