Hum is not always a bad thing
When my twin amp setup (Marshall 2203 and Peavey SC212) began humming at rehearsal I was initially disappointed and thought that something had gone wrong with one of the amps. A bit of research the following day suggested that if I had a good earth connection then I would have had the problem from day one. I tracked the problem to a mains extension lead at the rehearsal studio and ordered the hum eliminator.
The unit is very sturdily built and extremely easy to use,.. just plug in line, two channels are ideal for my setup and I expect that it will work equally well to get rid of the annoying switching power supply noise when using my laptop (stereo out) for music with the PA.
After adding the eliminator the hum was gone and no noticeable effect on tone in my case. A new extension lead and mains tester have also been added to my rig.

Schaller M6 180
This is the standard size M6 as opposed to the 'mini' and 180 refers to the angle of the screw fixing lug.
I have Schaller hardware on guitars from the early 80s and the tuners still function perfectly; look great with no pitting or tarnishing (chrome). Have bought several sets over the years for home builds or replacements - never had any problems with them. Quality products.
