A lonnnnng Journey.

If you enjoyed LOTR you'll like this prequel as well i'm sure. Stunning scenery as before in LOTR and the story sets up what was to follow. However, it has been said many times before, this being a single book made into 3 films does stretch the story a bit. At times it is a little slow for me and i think it drags on to fill the screen time, the film on its own is not bad at all by any means, but compared to LOTR it seems slow & plods along. Watched along with the 2 films that follow is a great binge watch though, these kind of films are what 50" plus HD/4K tv's were made for.

Panasonic DMR-EX768 dvd recorder, an excellent 2nd unit.

I bought this Panasonic dvd recorder has a second unit to use when there are 2 programs i want to record that overlap each other. It is an excellent low cost way of recording 2 programs at the same & saves you having to buy a more expensive twin tuner dvd recorder, also it saves time editing out the advert breaks if you want to as you don't have to wait until both programs have finished recording, as soon as 1 program has ended you can edit it while the other unit continues recording. It only has a small HDD but it is ideal for those odd times when programs overlap. As long as you "daisy chain" the ariel cable to both unit's you don't need to have 2 separate ariel's fitted.

A great travelogue.

A good dvd to get to know your way around Venice, presented in a great way. This goes well with Francescos other dvd's.
