DS-18 PRO-NEO6R bigger cutout than previous 6.5" speaker
I can't comment on sound quality or value because I have not got them installed yet. I will say this much they look and feel like very high quality built and expect them to sound great.
Now as to why they aren't installed yet is because they are much larger than the ds-18 6.5" speakers they are replacing and I am having to build custom adapter plates to make them fit. I took for granted that a 6.5" speaker would replace a 6.5" speaker but I was wrong. It is my own fault for not double checking on the measurements. So if you are rhinking about these speakers you should check measurements first or be ready to do some customizing on the install
