Small and useful.
I have a Bosch steam iron which works well, except that the small plastic spigot which secures the water filling flap shut had broken. Two small magnets, secured with Araldite, at the top of the flap and on the body of the iron has solved the problem. Much cheaper than purchasing a replacement steam iron or allowing the flap to break off as it invariably would have. The polarity of the magnets had to be correct (opposite to each other) or the reverse of what was wanted would happen; the flap would spring open rather than remain shut!
The Neodymium disc magnets were ideal for this purpose as they are small and have a strong enough attraction to do the job.

A well made and sturdy computer case.
A well made and sturdy case which came supplied with brass stand-offs and screws for fixing the motherboard, and with mounting screws for the hard discs. The hard disc fixing is a bit unusual as they are mounted sideways on rubber supports to the vertical strut. The case is not fitted with a reset switch or a power-on self-test audible sounder, but these can be retro-fitted if needed. The front panel USB case cable is terminated with a 20 pin connector, rather than a 10 pin connector, but adapters to fit the earlier 10 pin board mounted USB headers are available from other ebay suppliers. The plastic front panel can be removed by pulling it away at the base, which gives access to the top drive bays (which includes a removable carriage for a smaller size drive) and for fixing a fan, if required. There is also a place for fitting a fan on the side panel and on the back panel.

iGadgitz Xtra Lumin LED Camping Lantern.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The portable LED lantern was purchased to use as an occasional light for a cupboard under the stairs, used for storage, but which has no mains power. I investigated other LED lights which were specifically marketed for cupboards, dark corners, etc., but they all appeared to be fairly flimsy and to have limited battery size. The iGadgitz lantern is well made and robust, and not much more expensive then the other LED lights. The battery size, three D-type cells, allow for many hours of continuous use (well over 100 hours I think, depending upon the light intensity setting). The light output can be normal (bright enough to give a good light), high (too bright to look directly at the lantern) and flashing (not very useful in a cupboard, but could be important if camping in the wilds and needing to attract attention), all controlled by a single push button. The button has a small green flashing LED just above so it can be located in the dark. In general, it looks and feels as a solid and substantial bit of kit.
