Info
After working as an EE for circa 40 years, I have finally retired. I have been very fortunate to work from my home for the last 17 years and have built up quite a lab. Now that I am retired, some of this gear needs to find a new home!

The box arrived kind of beat up, but the careful packaging prevented any damage to the items ordered. The items were exactly as described by the seller. Very positive experience. 73 KU5JAntwort von w1qg- Verkäufer w1qg hat auf Bewertung reagiert.- Verkäufer w1qg hat auf Bewertung reagiert. Thanks very much for taking the time to provide + feedback. Industrial Strength Compared to a Gourmia.
This is my second sous-vide immersion cooker. The first one was a Gourmia that became erratic in that sometimes it would work correctly and sometimes it would not. I'll spare the details, but being an EE, I made a hard run at fixing it, but still do not trust it.
This Sansair is physically about 30% larger in all dimensions, and really puts out the heat and stirs the pot. In other words, more of an industrial strength version of the Gourmia.
I don't have a lot of miles on it, just two 5 hour cooking sessions, but so far so good.

FOUR for the price of ONE.
You can buy ONE DeWalt OEM battery for $60 (83.99 "list") or have FOUR of these delivered to your door for the same price. A no brainer. They appear to charge just fine in the DeWalt "one hour" charger although I think the charger may be a bit too aggressive. Also, the OEM version is "rated" at 2.4 Ah, these are 2.0 Ah. No big deal. Like everything else, the OEM and this battery are made in China. In conclusion, I'll take 4 of these any day over one OEM version.

A real winner !
I have been a DeWalt / Craftsman user for 5 decades.
My Craftsman belt sander motor developed a stuck brush which led to destruction of the commutator. After removing about 15 screws, I was able to get to the brush assembly and then saw the commutator destruction. RIDICULOUS ! So, in the trash that went and I bought this Makita. It has easily accessible brushes as any half decent design should have! Lots of power, and the best dust collector that i have yet to see. Appears to be all ball bearings as well. It also has an unusually long power cord which, is a mixed blessing. If the long cord became a hassle, it would be trivial to chop it and attach a new power plug. In conclusion, I am VERY pleased with this fine tool.
