Audio Technica AT-VM95C (conical) a 5* value cart
No getting away from it, this is a budget cartridge, however listening to it carefully it plays like it is anything but.
It tracks well, is detailed and has a sense of fun, plays tunes well, it is dynamic and rhythmic.
I have used mine on an LP12 with a Jelco arm, where it performs very well on both classical and rock recordings. Bass is deep and even, midrange well projected and treble extended and quire airy.
In summary, cool fast powerful with well-timed bass it represents excellent value, a clear 5* product, and a best buy in my book.
