Brought back memories of my old childhood when you had to eat everything put in front of you even if you didn’t like it!!
A good insight into life during the Second World War and how women rose to the challenge and made the best of what they had with what food was available. No tv then but the radio was important to keep people in formed.

It’s very good quality and therefore will last a long time and probably never need replacing so it is an economic purchase.

A nostalgic reminder of Edwardian children’s lives and how they adapted to an unexpected change in their lives.
A trip down memory lane with this original bbc adaptation of the book I had loved as a child in the 1950’s and then read to my own children years later. I never thought I would be able to watch it again so many years later thanks to modern technology!!
