MFJ-226 top marks!
For the price you can't beat this Antenna Analyser has proved it worth so many times over in the short time I have owned this unit. It just works so easily not complicated to use and the results it provides are bang on in accuracy. The programmable test frequency range on the fly is great. The drivers and PC software for PC control is all available from the MFJ web site free.
I highly recommend this as a no nonsense piece of must have shack equipment.

Motorola XPR-7550 - DP4801 Case Replacement
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Very happy with the Motorola XPR7550/DP4801 case replacement kit. The kit is supplied with everything including all knobs and buttons. The glass is crystal clear and the keypad buttons have the same feel as the original it replaces. All the keypad numbers illuminate well.
The only items that are not provide are a new battery case or antenna so if your battery and antenna are dirty or marked you will have to use some cleaning product that is safe for the housing plastic. I would recommend testing on the old case before trying it out on the battery housing.
If in doubt, take many photos before and during the process-taking note of where all the ribbon cables go. When you are ready to open the case, you will need to remove the antenna and the top two buttons. Then at the base of the radio with the battery removed, you will need to pry the case over two tabs that lock the case into place. Then just lift the radio up to clear the case by a bit then pull it to the rear. You will need a Torx driver set to remove the screws on the keypad, Display, Speaker & GPS Antenna.
The only tricky part is the accessory board on the left hand side when facing down this is not included in the kit so you will have to carefully remove the original one from the old case. After quite some time working out what the best way would be to remove it. It becomes clear the only way is first remove the sticker that sits over the accessory board to reveal the board that is under it. Then use a pair of side cutters to carefully cut down the side of the case until you are flush with the accessory board. Be very careful not to damage this board! Once you are able to get under the board very carefully using a hard plastic spudger start at the notched end of the board and start working along the board using only a small amount of force. The board is held down with double-sided tape that will with patience and a heat gun if you have one will come away. Once away, you will need to undo the screw on the speaker and pull the Mic insert out of its housing. Then carefully move the ribbon cable with the speaker and mic attached to the left side of the housing, this will give you enough room to move the accessory board 90 degrees and then pass the ribbon cable back through the slot where the cable passes through housing. You can then remove it and install into the new case.
The rest is very straight forward that makes this a very easy upgrade to a new looking radio for really at very little cost.

Very Happy.
This product was a very nice surprise a really good quality for the price. The only recommendation would be the straps would be better if it comes with locking clips instead.
