Non-Aligned Movement in Cold War
Series of essays on the Third (Non-aligned) World- articles that are the best are Luthi, Miscovic, the Luthi article is my favorite but both these are more critical. Itty Abraham's article not so great. Better to know a good deal of history of these countries first- especially Yugoslavia, Ghana, Cambodia, and of course India. Sino-soviet split not really mentioned in these- but that's another important thread in this context. The appalling human rights records of the nations is also a thing to consider- particularly with Cambodia....

Tower Block The Housing Drive
It's the history of Britain's Housing Drive from the 1930s- focusing on the Post-War era (1940s-1970s) that explains the push to build high towers across Britain. The photographs though do focus on all the different housing types. Glendinning & Muthesius did their tour of the UK housing complexes in the 1980s, and many of the photographs are theirs. The color section in the back is all their photography; which you can see in even greater quantity through online resources (there have been different Tower archives that they have run online). The story it tells about Britain's housing has been told elsewhere (i.e. Alan Powers) and a lot of the names and places repeat; but it goes more in depth than the other sources. This is a superb book and if you can find a copy in good condition as this, then you have a rare and special book indeed.
