Selling my own personal collections acquired from auctions and yard sales through the years. Selling items from my late parents storage garage I continue to pay monthly for it since the 1990s! Also, love helping others by listing for friends.

    "Let's Dance"
First of all, I love classic Hollywood musicals, and I especially enjoy Betty Hutton! She has been a favorite of mine since I was just a kid! This film is one of her less talked about and actually, I had NEVER even seen this one before. The plot is a bit silly BUT, Betty Hutton and Fred Astaire truly light up the screen with their incredible dancing and comedy! I bought it as I enjoy having a library that is equally VHS and DVD. In case one breaks, ya got another one to enjoy! I also decided to purchase it as the price was extremely resonable, I thought, for this particular film, which is usually priced much higher. I think this film is rather rare, as it isn't talked about much or shown often, but it is a terrifically entertaining movie, and other fans out there, like myself, generally push the price of this film up fairly high at past auctions I've followed at ebay! Lucky me! I think it was a great find, indeed!

First of all, if you've NEVER seen Joan Crawford in the early to mid 1930's, you've really missed something! I'm a lifelong movie buff, and believe me when I tell you that Ms. Crawford was GORGEOUS, to watch back then, styled to the hilt in her MGM finery, PLUS, she was a brilliant actress to boot! This film is not unlike many she made back then. It's a story where Joan is a cook's daughter. They live in a wealthy home but she and her Mother are servants. She longs to get ahead. I've no doubt that's what many a young lady longed for during the depression. If she had great looks and some nerve, she could land a rich husband or fame herself! In any event, the plot is a bit off Joan's usual beaten path, with some real drama near the end as she cares for her sick, alcoholic husband, with real sincerity. Not caring in the least if she gets a nickle from his estate if he dies. Only that she honestly strives to keep him alive. Worth watching for many reasons...The class and propriety of those times, MGM's wonderful clothes, sets, music, style they gave all their actors. But most especially you'll see what made Joan Crawford such a great star! Her emense beauty, personality, and fine acting talent!

    Whoopee! with Eddie Cantor
Thank you for this great film! I love the really OLD films, and have always liked Eddie Cantor, hadn't seen it in years, so thought it would be nice to add it to my library. ONLY thing to mention was, as it is an older VHS tape, there are a few spots where the sound 'wobbled' a bit, but, overall, I really enjoyed it and don't mind 'living with it!'. Thanks so much for offering it, for the good price and swift shipping! Best to you, Cheryl Monteiro
