Equal in quality to the Canon L series lenses it is made for.
Very well made and solid construction. Matches the high quality of the f2.8 70-200mm Canon L series lens I matched it to. A little pricy and you do lose 2 f stops as with any other 2x converter, but neither of these should be a reason not to get it. I got sharp pics with it similar to the pics from the lens without a converter.
