Decent, older, not too basic, but easy to program w/ it's dedicated software

Pros; 1. Common easy to find AAA cells alkaline or NiMh, 2. Long battery life 2 weeks + depending on use, 3. Much simpler, dedicated (for this model) software instead of the current, overly complicated, bloated CCP replacement for all of their models, 4. Good placement of buttons, 5. Basic learning operation, (learn only the functions you will use, Cons; 1. Display is small and limited letters of text per line, 2. Being a older model, current devices will have to be manually programmed (learning mode), 3. Separate charger ($20 or less) will be needed if you use rechargeable AAA cells, 4. Either the dedicated software or it's replacement (CCP) is hard to find, it's suppose to be only alivable thru dealers. 5. There was a keypad problem with much older units, but there is a replacement keypad available if needed ($15).

These are not new!

Canon discontinued manufacturing these well over 5 years ago. There are a few Chinese companies that collect discarded printheads and 'refurbish' them (or try to). If you get a good one, your lucky. I didn't, more than once. From experience, I would guess-estimate one in 5 maybe good (usable). The other problem is, many of these sellers here are advertising these as "new-other", meaning the product isn't in an original box. Well, that's true, but the product is NOT new! The original Canon 'Made in Japan' can be seen stamped on the side of the heads along with what appears to be a serial number (or similar) if you look close.

Hard to find control board for older Rheem 90+ gas hot air furnaces.

The original board was poorly designed causing 4 resistors to burn out and char the board. This is a completely new design and the connection changes were not easy to figure out comparing the original to the new. Some of the other sources really gouge one on prices due to the scarcity of this model.
