Great family film
I love watching this film over & over again. It has a fantastic cast of Juliette Binoche, Judi Dench, Alfred Molina, Lena Olin & Johnny Depp. The story is about Vianne who with her daughter move to a quiet village in France & open a chocolate shop. She creates mouth-watering confectionery that has the puritanical villagers giving in to happiness & temptation. The Mayor is outraged & wants rid of Vianne & her shop. There is a man who beats & scolds his wife who Vianne takes in & teaches her how to make the luscious chocolate & she reunites a boy with his grandmother against his mother's wishes. Gypsies arrive & Vianne falls under the spell of Roux. A brief affair happens until tragedy strikes. One night the Mayor gives into temptation & can't get enough of the chocolate. Just lik
