Outstanding little skimmer
I don't know if it because I bought the skimmer pre-owned, or if it's because I use it with an AutoAqua Smart ATO which keeps the water level constant, but this thing has worked great since the day I added it to my 20 gal JBJ Cubey reef tank several weeks ago. It fits perfectly in the first filter chamber. The magnet keeps it in place at rest, but I placed a large filter sponge beneath the skimmer to avoid having it slide down when I mess with it for cleaning, etc. After a couple of days I was able to dial in the air intake to produce skimmate that is dark and reasonably viscous, plus the typical desired amount of gunk that coats the cup surfaces. The collection cup is sufficiently sized and easy to clean. This skimmer produces true foam, not just bubble burst drip, and so far foam production has been steady, with no overflows. Works nearly as well as the Simplicity skimmer on my 125 gal reef, which was a complete surprise to me after reading a few of the negative reviews for the Tunze. Maybe having an ATO is essential for optimum performance.

Nice pump
Purchased this compact DC pump for a 20 gal nano cube to provide intermittent water flow for fish, soft corals, and LPS. Setup was easy, the pump is very quiet, provides sufficient flow for the tank (when added to the recirculating pump I already had), and otherwise works as advertised. The wireless remote is handy, although not essential for me. One additional feature I'd like to see is an automated overnight low flow option. Assuming it lasts at least 3-5 years, this is a great pump for the price.
