Genuine article
These filters should be factory original, and therefor the best match for the Subaru Forester. Obviously the oil needs to be there, but it is even better if it is kept as clean as possible with a high flow rate.

Drain plug needs.
These are an essential part of an oil change on a Subaru Forester. I like to buy several up front and keep in stock to use as necessary.

Get an NGK spark plug if you can find one!
My Makita lawn blower/vac would not continue to run. It would start, heat up and cut out. I took a gamble on the spark plug may be failing and YES it was. Just finished mowing and cleaning up and it is running great. NGK products are the best. If your equipment requires a new spark plug get the genuine NGK part and you won't have any issues.
