Powerhouse performer. Extremely low cost-of-ownership. Five Stars!
Dynamite comes in small packages. This is the little PowerEdge server that performs like a cluster of servers. MS recommends putting AD, Exchange, SQL, VPN, RAS, File and Print services on different boxes, but I have four small business offices that run all them on their single T105s. The dual/quad core Opteron flat out rips and its simple design makes inexpensive upgrades to hard drives and memory a snap. Too bad Dell discontinued AMD based servers. I guess Intel's reach is long and strong.
For fun, I purchased one for my own use along with SBS 2003 Premium Edition. Over the years, I've found there are some tweaks that Microsoft recommends, but doesn't pre-configure on their servers and AMD has some patches (Dual-core driver, for one) that make the T105's cost of ownership virtually down to what you pay for power. And that to me is its biggest selling point. With one T105, my clients don't need special climate controlled rooms with $40K in hardware, racks and a dedicated I.T. staff.
If you're considering a used T105, just be sure it comes with the AMD Opteron, 2GB - 4GB of RAM and dual stand-alone SATA hard drives. Quad-core is slightly better than dual-core, but again, both Opterons are true performers. You'll see it the first time you log into one of these screamers. For instance, I took over operations for another small business client where they have eleven Intel based blade rack-mounted servers. The previous admin was milking their budget dry. When their president saw how I was doing it at similar offices under my care, he promptly fired his I.T. guy and put me in charge. There were some other issues dealing with competence too, but my plan is to eventually hand over ten server responsibilities to a similar Dell PE T605. I'll retain one of the HP/Dell blade servers just as a BDC, file replication and PC image server. I know the blade servers were hella expensive, but their performance seems lacking when stacked up to the T105.
eBay wants me to also include what I don't like about the T105. Umm. I don't know. If I was dishonest, I'd say that if it wasn't for the T105 I could have overcharged my clients, by justifying a lot more expensive server hardware. Does that count? I don't know. I've always thought of my relationship with my clients to be symbiotic, rather than adversarial. Faithfully, I made the choice to buy one of these boxes many years ago, gambling that this little server could manage to keep up with the more established Intel units. Here, years later, I'm fighting and going out of my way to snap up every one I can find.

Brand new fuel pump failed 1,000 miles and less than 6 months after installation.
Barely got 1,000 miles out of this brand new fuel pump before it failed without warning, leaving me stranded on the highway. At least with OEM they struggle for up to a year before they fail. 90-day warranty is just that. Don't ride alone and don't venture far from civilization with this fuel pump on your bike, it's not worth the risk.

Kawasaki ZX-9R E1/E2 2000 2001 OEM rebuild kit
OEM Keihin CVRD 40 mm carburetor part copies, including the OEM standard jetting and N9BB stamped jet needles. But this kit also includes the fuel and float bowl equalization runner o-rings as part of the pieces shown. Yes, it also has all the parts necessary to replace the pilot fuel screws and more. Not Keihin OEM, but spot-on copies of their parts to return the carburetors to stock settings.
