Item was used but was in like new shape (besides the box)! Shipped quickly and came sooner than expected. Packed so that nothing was damaged. Seller said that some parts might be missing (literally 100s of small pieces), but well over 99% of the components were there (and all the important stuff was there). Overall: VERY PLEASED with the purchase, and would buy from them again no question.

Avalon Hill Axis & Allies D-Day WWII Military Board Game 2004

Great entry level Axis & Allies title

I loved this game. It's a different type of Axis & Allies than you might think. Most A & A games are grand strategic, but D-Day is a campaign. It's an individual battle on a smaller scale. It's also much easier to learn. It has a fixed number of turns, fixed number of units for the battle, no unit building, and smaller rule book. It's fantastic. That's why I recommend this game as the perfect starter set for the Axis & Allies world. If you are new to the series and/or a little unsure about it, this is the game to get. I recommend it over the 1941 version, in that regard. Now if you are a A&A veteran, and love complexity, this game might be little light for you.
