Works pretty well, just not "heavy duuty"
30 w isn't enough to de-solder joints with multiple wires. In some cases, I ended up with heating everything to melting temp with a 100 w gun, then immediately using this to suck up the solder. Also, it can be sued for soldering, but a dedicated unit is handier and more appropriate. Since I bought it only to de-solder, that is not a problem for me. On most connections, it works fine.

Just right, if quiet is important.
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich We now have two of these, in two separate high schools. We teach aircraft construction in the classroom, building RV-12 LSA aircraft. If the room doesn't have plumbed in compressed air, we need a compressor, and it HAS to be low noise! This one is. Not only that, but it doesn't run all that much, and keeps up with our air drills and pneumatic riviters. I really can't find anything wrong with them. It would seem that the 2hp model is just about the right size for our work load, but I wouldn't be happy with the 1hp models as they might not keep up. If I had to nit-pick, I would say the wheels seem to be rather light-duty and might not stand up to moving around everyday. Since we do not do that, they are fine. Also, the vertical format takes up less floor space than most compressors.

Perfect replacement!
Fits well, well made, and looks like it should. Other than having to get up on a ladder (which I hate,) it is easy to install. Came with new crews too fit the blades, but not the arm to motor. Had those anyway.
