lossless is awesome, highly recommended.
I recommend paying the $2.00 extra for the special mail & it actually arrived earlier than expected whereas if you do not use this mailing option, you might never receive the item (from China).
An important feature for me for a mp3 player is that the control buttons are tactile so they are locatible in the dark (e.g. listening in bed) - this player's controls are tactile. I compared my old Sansa player and this player - I used the same 320 bps songs and the same headphones: the lossless is a big step forward even with ordinary mp3 songs, a very noticeable difference. I tried the lossless with external speakers - it seems the lossless system needs headphones in order to have a noticeable difference in sound quality.
