K-70 is the best Pentax camera ever with unbeatable value for money: 24-megapixel APS-C sensor, plenty of features cribbed from the K-3 II and K-1, and a robust, water-resistant design.
I am a huge Pentax fan. The reasons I prefer Pentax over Canon/Nikon are:
1. I like the brand and the quality. Pentax is made in Japan with long tradition of high-quality equipment owned by Ricoh.
2. All old Pentax lenses work on all Pentax modern cameras. Means you can hunt and buy excellent prime lenses with f1.4 or f1.8 for peanuts compared to other systems. In DSLR the lens quality is way more important than the camera body.
3. Pentax has in body camera image stabilisation. Again you can use an old lens and still have modern features.
4. This camera K-70 is weather sealed. Also has dual control wheels and a high-res articulating screen, the K-70 gets the K-1's pixel-shift super-resolution mode (complete with motion correction), 14-bit RAW capture, and (in a first for Pentax) on-sensor phase detection autofocus pixels for continuous focus during video recording.
Getting similar quality Canon/Nikon camera body with all the same features will cost you several times more.
