Overheating and leaving only partial charges
15 von 16 finden das hilfreich I bought this second charger to have the ability to charge my ipad at work and unfortunately it overheats and stops charging. Yes, it has the same rating as the old charger that I have.
With this new charger the ipad from a drained battery will charge up to around 20% and then it will stop. No matter how long you leave it connected to the charger the ipad charge will not exceed this 20% and the charger itself will become very hot.
The only way to achieve a full charge is to do it in steps (ae disconnect the charger let it cool down and reconnect it for an additional 15% of charge and repeat this process until full) and this is not the way charging is suppose to happen.
The old charger does the charging in one go, still.
Hence the new one leaves a lot to desire, I would question the "Original Genuine OEM" statement in the product description.
