Grand Central Cookbook - Delicious
I have always enjoyed stopping at this restaurant for a bowl of their famous soup. The book is almost suitable as a "coffee table" book. Vivid illustrations but I enjoyed reading more about the Bar and restaurant itself, however, as a collectors cookbook for seafood it is worthwhile.

Great Classic Film Noir
Interesting characters and plot. A short film but fast paced, with subtle plot twists and what I thought was terrific acting from very young actors that eventually became Hollywood staples.

A photographic testament to African wildlife history
Very happy to have found this book on EBay. First read it while I was in Africa, though I was familiar with some of the content. Peter Beard was an eccentric adventurer/photographer and it is his skill in the photographic arts that is front and centre in this wonderful book. These photo's together with the overall message of the book is an interesting indictment to the "modern" concepts of wildlife conservation vs wildlife management, truly a double edged sword. The photography is outstanding and I believe the title speaks for itself - a must read for all those interested in African history and wildlife.
