The Bad Boy of JFK Double dies....
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Here we have the Bad boy of JFK Double dies, After going through about 100,000 of these coins over 35 years of collecting errors, I have "8" in Various conditions, this one is "XF" and 3 others I have are the same. Wiles' book and values of them have changed up and down over time ( as does the market for them ) and new Double dies have been found since the book was published but this one Double die has remained the #1. double die to look for in the JFK error collecting scene. Now I'm not talking about Machine doubling or struck thru type collecting, I'm talking about "true double dies" and there are not a great deal of them in the JFKs ( mainly die to the lack of years the coin has been minted ).....This double die is still out there to be collected, sitting in bank rolls, as singles, in old collections, in somebodies junk drawer, in mint sets, etc, etc......Get out there and keep looking for it, drive the value for it up & up.

I really loved this book.....so much so that somebody has already stolen it from my book shelf. it is informative about classification of found meteorites, Types and locations and all manner of things technical, I got a great deal on it.

The Pencil by Paul Calle
This book is probably the most educational book ever publised which is directed towards young artists who are "up amd coming" and serious "wanna be artist. it is both instructive and full of illustrations but as well is a story-line in which the artist tells several stroies about his career and how he was able to actually make a living and get jobs as an illustrator and further his career. This book was given to me by the artist "James Boren when I was an upstart artist and was integral in my resulting career which lasted 33 years before I myself retired.......I can think of no other book with exception to several books by Norman Rockwell that influenced me more than "The Pencil" by Paul Call and at every opportunity I suggest it to anyone who wishes to any artist who wished to learn to draw and compose better.......I highly suggest it to anyone here........I painted under the name "R.Morris Patterson" for 33 years, if you don't believe me, go look on the web and see for yourself but understand, all the websites have my birthdate wrong, I was born in 1958 not 1959.
