Nikon D100
While obsolete by today's standards for DSLR, the Nikon D100 is to me a very good value. It takes very nice pictures at 6 megapixels and can be had for less than $250 these days. The battery lasts for days as well.

A nice bluetooth keyboard, plus a trackpoint!
A great companion to the Lenovo Thinkpad 2 tablet. Not sure it would work with other tablets. The keys have a good action and that trackpoint is really easy to use; even better than the one on the Lenovo Thinkpad notebooks.

With a little modification, it works great.
This looked like a great idea to let me use a longer lens hood on my venerable Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 AF-D. When I first mounted it on the lens, the HB-29 hood did not line up properly. I cut new indents in the grooves of the adapter with an X-Acto knife so that it lined up better on lens which helped the hood also line up. Works great now.
