MUST READ IF YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE PROGRAM
If you collect submarine literature, like I do, then this needs to be part of your collection.
If you are looking for a management/leadership read...it might not be exactly what you are looking for.
Dave Oliver's book has been a puzzle piece for me in putting together the remarkable story of Rickover and the Navy Nuclear Power Program. A remarkable system in developing the "Peopleware" to operate the extraordinary machinery that put you under weigh on nuclear power. A system that I am indebted to.
The lessons on management and leadership are a bit more difficult to sift through unless you have been through the Program. Not that there is something to gain, some of the lessons will not ring as true unless you have had the experiences Dave Oliver has had.
As a nuclear sailor myself, this is a valued part of my collection. As a management/leadership text...it's OK.

Bops_Mom is Right on Track
I had planned to write a review but bops_mom captured it very well. Like her I am not a Gere fan but he did well. Similar type of character as in "Shall we Dance." The story will keep your attention and if not Linney will. She's HOT as usual. Not really too scarry but entertaining. Bop thought it was great...I'd leave it as entertaining...don't pitch "The Exorcist" just yet!

If You Knew Paul was in a Band Before Wings Watch It
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich There is only one reason to purchase this DVD and that is for the interviews and original film footage. The production shots and lead-ins are at best high school quality. It appears the producers were on a "pony league" budget. However the footage makes up for it. I think you will find these young fellows handle themselves very well with the idiotic questions they get asked by our inciteful media...and you just thought the media became stupid.
