Excellent Mic
I considered this mic after doing research on it. Was looking for a new mic after realizing my Blue Bluebird was making my particular vocals too muddy. Adding a preamp + compressor to the chain made this even more apparent. Just today i did a shoutout between the Bluebird and the Lauten LA220 and the difference was night and day. I have a bassy voice which is not flattering on the Bluebird due to its frequency response. It was however not an issue whatsoever on the LA220. This will make getting a good signal at source an easier process, as well as saving me work & time come mix time. Extremely happy with my purchase. The Bluebird has served me well through the last 5 years but it's time to let this bird go free to a new owner. Considering also that the LA220 is $50 dollars cheaper brand new compared to the Bluebird (i got mine cheaper through an excellent deal on Ebay), this is a no-brainer for someone who has a T.I. type of voice/tone and is looking for a mic to compliment that.
