Great for water, OK for normal shots
I bought this camera because we were going on a trip to the Virgin Islands, and I wanted a camera I could take in the water with me. For trips like that, this camera is great! It was wonderful bringing it in with me while we were in the water and not having to worry about leaving it with our stuff on the beach. We got great beach and underwater shots.
Where this camera falls short is everyday photos. We have a 5 megapixel Nikon Coolpix that takes crisper photos than this 10 megapixel camera. It's not that the photos are bad, they are just not what you would expect for 10mp.
If you're looking for a durable camera that you can bring to the beach or extreme temperatures, this camera is great. If you're looking for a regular everyday camera, I would suggest something else.
