Battenfeld Technologies comes up short with the Caldwell Matrix
2 von 3 finden das hilfreich I purchased the Matrix rest several weeks ago due to it's many features and modest price point. I was extremely disappointed after my first trip to the range. The forward cradle failed to remain in the upright position (after each shot) under the recoil of my 270 cal. Ruger rifle, despite how hard I tightened the locking mechanism. I suspect this to be the case with higher caliber firearms as well. Additionally, there are extremely sharp edges on the underside of this rest. Thus, probably due to the manufactures plastic extrusion process. I received a finger laceration as I was haphazardly carrying the rest back to my vehicle as both hands were full with multiple rifles and shooting bag. Lastly, I emailed Battenfeld Technologies through their website to express my concerns. To date, not even the courtesy of a response. In my opinion, this is a direct reflection of their commitment to quality assurance and poor customer satisfaction. There are some great Caldwell products on the market for shooters and hunters and I've owned a few. However, If I could make this purchase again, I wouldn't waist my hard earned dollar on the Matrix!

Good quality and value for your money
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich I always trust Weaver quality bases and rings for all my optic installations. They offer a great product for your hard earned dollar with a rock solid hold. All steel and made in the USA! I purchased this and the appropriate base for a Ted Williams model 100, 30-30 optic installation. Remember to use just a small dab of lok-tite or similar product on your base and ring screws. Tighten down the ring screws evenly, being cautious not to over tighten, which may cause damage to your scope tube. The larger base screws allow for conveniently detaching your optic (for whatever reason; i.e., cleaning, transport) and reattaching without the hassle of bore sighting or "sighting in" your rifle again. Don't be fooled or trust the outcome of your hunt to less expensive "made in China" rings and bases, which are more frequent to "strip", break or loosen during extreme temperatures. Good quality at a fraction the cost of Leupold mounting hardware.
