King of Biographies
Kirby King of Comics by Mark Evanier is everything that a biography should be. This book tells ups and lows of Jack Kirby's life without missing a beat. This biography tells of Jack's early days as an artist, his time in WWII, his rise in comics, his fall from comics. It really gives you perspective into his life, and makes you wish that he was still alive just so you could meet the man attached to this wonderful story. Aside from the story, it is filled with much of Jack Kirby's original artwork that is gorgeous and leaps off the page at you. I highly recommend this book, and I know that it will win the Eisner Award for best comic related book.
