Success or Failure - A Beginners Guide

A very thought provoking book. Everybody knows that outliers are 'special'. But is that all merely a matter of their own brilliance or is it due in part to a combination of fortuitous circumstances from which they have benefitted. Gladwell argues for the latter.

Everyone should read this book, especially if you think that Faith and Science are incompatible

Many books start with the Theological basis of religion. Collins takes a different approach acknowledging what is common ground across all faiths which for him is the Moral dimension in Man. He cautions about what he terms 'the God of the gaps' - assigning God to only those things that we currently do not understand. This is a wonderful synthesis of belief and science at its cutting edge. In the appendix he deals with some of our current questions about what is life and what are the moral issues that we currently face in answering this question.

Good scales but poor quality of build

I bought these because I liked the idea of the handle and the blue back lit screen. It does offer both of these features but the build is rather flimsy and so I doubt if it will last long
