Door seal drama
We only had our Bosch washing machine for 9 months before the rubber door seal tore. Looked like getting a technician to replace it would be expensive so I crafted a piece of rubber and glued it onto hole in seal. This worked well for over a year but leaks started to get slowly worse and I started investigating buying and replacing the boot myself.
After searching on eBay for quite a while to ensure I got the correct seal I looking at some door seal replacement vids on utube I decided to take the plunge.
The boot took a few weeks to arrive in Aus but was delivered to my door in good condition.
I followed the instructions on a utube vid and it probably took me about 90 mins in total. Hardest part was replacing steel retainer band on inside of drum, pretty strenuous.
Overall very happy with result, no leaks at all after 2 weeks.
I have also taught kids how to be careful when pulling clothes out after a wash to prevent it being torn again.
